Conceptual Tango Technique - TTC

In DNI, dance is communication, and tango is a language. If tango is a language, its structures being words and its sequences being sentences, TTC is its alphabet; dividing tango into its most basic elements and opening them for study.
-
TTC´s highly specfic, codified vocabulary allows the student to become fluent in the dances intricacies, as well as enabling them to analyze their dance in the absence of a teacher.
TTC relates the natural movements of the body to those of tango, making the technique accessible to everyone from beginners to professional dancers.
TTC is comprehensive, providing an analytical tool to investigate all areas of tango, from classical elements such as a giro en 1 eje with lapiz, to more nuevo elments such as colgadas and double ganchos.
The objective of teaching TTC, is not simply to master the language of tango, but to facilate others in adding to its content and helping it evolve within its modern context. Compañia DNI, for example, utilizes TTC to create its choreographies and communicate its interpretation of the language of tango.
TTC has been developed by Pablo and Dana during their 9 years of research into bio-mechanics, yoga, contemporary, classical, and other dance forms. Whether taking Private or Group lessons, TTC is mastered and applied by all DNI teachers, in all DNI classes, providing a high degree of continuity in the learning process.
