FEBRUARY 2010 IN DNI

  • Friday the 5th - Seminar with Luis Bianchi and Daniela Pucci

16hs till 19hs - DNI will continue with the series Intensive Workshops for Couples with invited Maestros. Luis Bianchi and Daniela Pucci, will give the first seminar of 2010, Friday the 5th of February. The topic of the seminar will be Colgadas.

  • Tara Pilbrow -- every Saturdayin February

11 to 13hs - DNI is very proud to welcome back Tara Pilbrow who is to give a series of seminars every Saturday -- 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th -- of February.

Each seminar will be divided into three parts.

  • An initial guided improvisation session helps to connect and concentrate mind and body. The work will focus on increasing awareness of muscular tension, weight distribution, and mental focus to encourage students to find an organic and individual movement quality.
  • The second part of the seminar will focus on key technical elements (alignment, floorwork, sequential movement..) incorporated into simple dance sequences.
  • At the end of the class we will work on a longer movement phrase, concentrating on both the technical challenges of the movement as well as elements of basic performance technique.

  • Friday the 12th - Seminar with Gonzalo Orihuela and Solange Chapperon

16hs till 19hs - DNI will continue with the series Intensive Workshops for Couples with invited Maestros. Gonzalo Orihuela and Solange Chapperon, will give a seminar Friday the 12th of February. The topic of the seminar will be Turns and Circulation of Movement.

  • Exhibitions in the Practica-- every Saturday

16 to 19hs - The DNI practica has invited several couples to give exhibitions in the practica.

  • Luis Bianchi and Daniela Pucci -- Saturday the 6th
  • Gonzalo Orihuela and Solange Chapperon -- Saturday the 13th
  • Adrian Ferreyra and Rocio Lequio -- Saturday the 20th
  • Gaston Torelli and Moira Castellano -- Saturday the 27th

The practica is held weekly, costs $8 pesos with a DNI group card or $10 without. All of the teachers are present, creating a friendly open environment for enjoying tango.
  • Wednesday the 24th - Exhibition with Pablo Villarraza and Dana Frigoli

23hs - Konex, is a cultural center that hosts a variety of activities. One of these events, the Garufa Milonga, held every Wednesday, has invited Pablo and Dana to perform the 24th of February. Hope to see you there.

Konex is located at Sarmiento 3131 -- only a few blocks from DNI Bulnes.
